Lessons in Business&Life from the movie "Groundhog Day"

In celebration of Groundhog Day I wanted to write some thoughts about the "fun to watch" movie, "Groundhog Day" ... so many lessons we can glean from this movie too...both in business and in life!

Here are some I'm thinking...

1) Invest in some self-reflection to put in motion self improvement

2) "Don't be a Ned Ryerson" ...be sincere - care about people's interests, lives, professions and emotions ... which ultimately Phil embraces.

3) Live life to the fullest, which involves making a difference in others lives

4) Sometimes we have to realize we're not the person we want to be anymore, in order to propel us towards becoming someone better.

5) Phil learns to put others before himself -- and this change is what wins Rita's (Andie MacDowell's) heart.

And though the movie doesn't really touch on this, I believe if the movie was a reality, such a change that we see in Phil (Bill Murray) of selflessly helping others could only come from above...from God changing his heart.
